Show of the Week- Guerilla Radio
Name of Show: Guerilla Radio
Time: Wednesday, 11pm
Host Info: Sam Wangelin, Philosophy, Senior
What is your show like? Guerilla Radio features a collection of the 60s, 70s, and 80s greatest rock groups, but their lesser-known and often better tracks. It also connects these tracks to newer artists that are more commonly known today.
Why should people listen to the show? Fans of rock and bands like Pink Floyd and Zeppelin will enjoy hearing more of these artists and their contribution to music today.
How long have you had a show at WSUM? I have had a show since my first semester freshman year, right after training.
What do you do outside the station? I go to concerts as often as I can and am currently helping my brother create an iPhone app.
Favorite Music/Best album of 2012: My favorite artist would have to be Jimi Hendrix. Favorite album of 2012 is The Lion, The Beast, and the Beat by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.
Fun Fact about your show: Being a philosophy major, I love to argue and on my show I often share my less than normal opinions that can lead to quite amusing rants. All call-ins are welcome during these times.
