Enjoy a night full of artful beats with Emancipator on November 7, at 9:30 pm in Der Rathskeller, Memorial Union. Madison's own Steez will open.

Emancipator's artful beats have earned him an organic success throughout his career. His debut album /Soon it Will Be Cold Enough/ was released in September 2009 on 1320 records and he will be touring throughout North America including stops with Pretty Lights and an appearance at the Trinumeral Festival in Asheville. Rolling Stone said, "/Soon It Will Be Cold Enough/ beautifully mixes hip hop beats with guitar feedback and a delicate piano melody." His music has also been called "damn cool" and "chill but captivating."

Steez, a local jam-band from right here in Madison, have been touring throughout the US during this past summer and early fall. They are widely popular for those who enjoy that style of music and others who are open to trying a new genre.

This free event, sponsored by the Wisconsin Union Directorate Music Committee, is intended for UW-Madison students, faculty, staff and Union members and guests.
