Student Farewell to Union South
Friday, December 5, 2008 at 5:00 PM
Get down before Union South comes down! "The Wrecking Ball" is an
all-night event to commemorate the closing of Union South to celebrate
the new south campus union to open in 2011. Join the Wisconsin Union
Directorate for tons of events all evening on Friday, December 5 from 6
pm to 2 am at Union South, 227 N. Randall Ave.
Celebrate in Club 770 with five DJs for an all-night dance party
starting at 9 pm. Or join the swing dance with free lessons from
UW-Madison Ballroom Dance Association and the Badger Ballroom Dance Team
starting at 6 pm. The swing dance will also include a live performance
by the UW Big Band at 10 pm.
Fill up with foods from around the world as Global Connection's hosts
its final "Taste of Cultures" at Union South at 6 pm then show your
stuff with free karaoke in the Games Room stating at 9 pm. Finally, end
your evening with free popcorn and a midnight showing of /Young
Frankenstein/, the scariest comedy of all time!
This free event, sponsored by the Wisconsin Union Directorate, is
intended for UW-Madison students, faculty, staff and Union members and
guests.
