WUD Film Committee Real to Reel Cinema presents: Dogtown and Z-Boys
Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 5:30 PM
Don't miss this documentary -- Dogtown and Z-Boys -- that examines the transformation of skateboarding from its former image to its status today as an extreme and acrobatic sport, on Thursday, November 12, at 7:30 pm in the Memorial Union.
Starting in the southern California surf community of Dogtown near Venice, the film follows the evolution of modern skateboarding through the 1970s heyday, its decline during the 1980s, and its eventual and lucrative return in the 1990s.
