WSUM to broadcast exciting weekend of hockey at the Kohl Center

Join WSUM's Eric Levine and Tyler Mason for postseason hockey all weekend in Madison. The action begins Friday evening, with the Wisconsin men's hockey team hosting Minnesota State in the first game of a best-of-three WCHA playoff series. WSUM will have a special half hour pregame show starting at 6:35 PM CT, and will take you all the way through the game. On Saturday afternoon, the Badger women's hockey squad will attempt to reach its fourth straight Frozen Four when they host the Dartmouth Big Green. Coverage begins at 12:45 PM CT. Later on Saturday, the men's WCHA playoff series continues, as the Badgers try to advance to the WCHA Final Five in St. Paul. If necessary, the third game of the series will be Sunday night. We hope you can tune into the action this weekend on the WSUM Sports Stream. For more coverage of Wisconsin hockey, check out the Badger Herald video preview.

The WSUM Sports Team

The WSUM Sports Department has been on the rise since its inception a few years back.

Beginning in the Fall of 2008, WSUM began streaming Badger football, basketball, and hockey home games live on the internet. Eric Levine, Brandon Baseman, and Derek Zetlin had the call of WSUM's first live game on the new, dedicated online sports stream. While the game was a disappointment, with Wisconsin losing to Ohio State 20-17, the broadcast was a huge success, and the stream has taken off since that point. Tune in at the start of each Badger home game at http://vu.wsum.net/sports. If the link does not work, that means that the broadcast has yet to begin. As always, thanks for your support!

Furthermore, the WSUM sports team has expanded its coverage to include Badger football, basketball, hockey, softball, and volleyball, while continuing to provide listeners insight with its sports talk shows including The Student Section and Unsportsmanlike Conduct. Also, be sure to tune into Red Alert, WSUM's newest sports show, Thursdays from 4-5. ContactView message header detail Kyle Deckelbaum if you have interest in joining the WSUM sports team or have other questions.
