Madison's and Wisconsin's electronic music scene has exploded especially after receiving exposure from visiting Chicago artists. From booking Daft Punk for their very first performance in the U.S. ever and even having Armin Van Buuren, the world's number 1 DJ according to DJ Magazine, play a sold-out show in the historic and legendary Eagles Ballroom, its clear that electronic music is beginning to have a foothold here in the dairy state.
One of those acts that's coming up is Sound Remedy. Originally from Chicago but now residing in Los Angeles, Sound Remedy has been making music since 16. He truly transcends genres, having an extensive and diverse producers catalog. He has remixed top acts such as Hermitude and Superbus, not to mention writing music for award-winning commercials.
Also coming along for the ride is Phutureprimitve. Formerly known as Rain, he is based in Portland, Oregon. Placing significant emphasis on melody, basslines, and percussion in his music, it is only natural he has an underground cult following and earned the right to open up for world-renowned acts such as Shpongle and Ott.
And you can't forget about Wyatt Agard. Resident at just about every club and bar you can imagine here in Madison, he truly is the soul and spirit of the opening DJ, setting up the perfect mood and having a diverse record collection suitable for everyone.
Sound Remedy + Phutureprimitve along with Wyatt Agard are performing at the Majestic this Wednesday October 9th.
