The intergalactic battle-rapper/super-hacker/mech-soldier and his outlaw crew have finally come out of hiding in the year 3040 to preach against the 31st century New World Order at the Majestic Theater in Madison, Wisconsin on October 21st.
Best known for the mech-rending beats and revolutionary rhymes of their 3030 dispatch, Deltron 3030 (2000), the crew of Deltron Zero (Del tha Funkeé Homosapien), The Automator (Dan the Automator), and Kid Koala have since returned after an extended absence to release their 3040 tract, Event 2 (2013).
As with Deltron 3030, the Deltron crew has enlisted various current era musicians and performers on Event 2 to help spread their gospel. Joseph Gordon-Levitt provides the tome's introduction, David Cross and Amber Tamblyn both complain of the modern convenience in 3040, while musicians including Zack De La Rocha (Rage Against the Machine) and Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz) assist in railing against the intergalactic government.
Fans of the outlaw rapper and his space adventures will be sure to enjoy selections from both of the group's works as well as DJ sets from present-day Kid Koala (no relation to Deltron's Kid Koala) and Itch. Itch, signed to Bulk Recordings, is a British electronic artist who meshes various elements of EDM, dubstep, and rock to get the crowd moving.
