Much like artwork, electronic music has many colors and shades, from dark to bright to funky to ambient, synthetic sound has come a long way since Robert Moog and Kraftwerk. Part of the chillwave movement, Chazwick Bradley Bundick, better known as Toro y Moi, is an electronic artist, who combines ambient electronica with indie rock. Washed Out and Flume, also part of the chillwave family, combine chill-out, ambient electronica, and New Wave rock, however only Toro Y Moi straddles the perfect balance between dance and easy listening.

American duo Classixx (real names Michael David and Tyler Blake) are opening up. Combining indie electronica and nu-disco to make a distinctive sound, their tracks are staples in many DJs' sets across the world. They have remixed and collaborated with LCD Soundsystem, Groove Armada, Major Lazer, and even Mayer Hawthorne and Phoenix.
