The Communications Assistant reports to the Senior Communications Specialist.  This position provides support for the creation and execution of strategic marketing plans.
50% A. Develops effective and efficient niche marketing campaigns.
A1. Executes work in a timely and independent fashion with guidance from the Senior Communications Specialist.
A2. Contributes to all inbound digital platforms in conjunction with communications campaign goals.
A3. Demonstrates measurable digital growth on social media platforms.
A4. Creates measurable increase in digital use of educational resources.
40% B. Contributes relevant and executable ideas to the creation of strategic marketing plans.
B1.  Listens to organizational objectives, act with those goals in mind and ask questions.
B2.  Seeks to understand and grasps the importance of target demography.
B3.  Engages professional dialog through questions, observations and brainstorms.
10% C.  Other Work-Related Activities
C1.  Stays up-to-date on current marketing and communications trends, particularly as they interface with education and public media.
C2.  Attends one weekly meeting.
C3.  Carries out other duties as assigned.

Masters on-trend use of popular social media platforms.
Uses digital analytics tools comfortably.

Pay and Hours
$7.25 per hour, 8 hours per week, 1 academic semester
