On Thursday February 13th, the electronic duo Big Gigantic invaded the Orpheum with their sax and bass heavy music. Teknicolor opened the show, but it was Manic Focus that really got the night going. Manic Focus came out with a lot of energy, and pumped the crowd for Big Gigantic.
Big G's winter tour is in support of their latest album, The Night is Young, which they played songs from throughout the evening. The duo maintained high energy and fed off of a sold out Orpheum crowd. Spinning hits from their older albums such as A Place Behind the Moon and Nocturnal, countless fan favorites lined the set list. Songs such as “Lucid Dreams,” “It's Goin Down,” and “Fantastic” had the whole building raging in unison.
Many remixes from their vast collection were played including, Kanye West's “Get em High” and Knife Party's “Bonfire.” It was apparent that Big Gigantic sought to put on the best show possible and the crowd's elation as they exited the Orpheum that night proved Big G accomplished their mission.
