DJs Chloe DeVries & Megan Roessler of Paperback Writer (Thursdays @ 8pm) and Karolina Barej of Helter Skelter (Thursdays @ 6pm) team up with Beatle fan extraordinaire Erik, winner of February’s WSUM Birthday Auction to bring you “A Night with the Beatles” THIS Thursday from 7-9pm.
Although Love Me Do, their very first single, was released over 50 years ago in 1962, the Beatles still have a great influence on almost every aspect of popular culture today. Their music is not dated or out of touch – people still love the band the way they did when it was brand new.
We’ll spend two hours exploring the entire Beatles discography, from Please Please Me to Let It Be, attempting to get at what makes the Fab Four still so meaningful to almost everyone today.
