WOW WOWIE WOW it is 2017 and that means that on February 22nd, WSUM will be turning 15 years old! We're so happy to be celebrating a decade and a half of kick ass student radio, and to celebrate we've got some big things planned. Starting February 17th there will be a weekend long celebration – check out what's going on below:
Feb 17th Battle of the Bands
To showcase some of the best up and coming local talent, we'll be hosting our first ever live on air Battle of the Bands. Three great Madison bands will be performing live on air on February 17th starting at 5pm. Each group will have one song to woo the panel of judges, comprised of local music experts Emili Earhart, Andrew Winistorfer, and Darwin Sampson. The winning group will get fame and glory along with prizes from MadCity Music Exchange and a full live slot on Live@WSUM!

February 18th Trivia Competition
This year marks our second trivia marathon! From 12-9pm on Saturday, teams will tune into to answer questions and compete for the first place cash prize. Find out more information and to register here.

February 19th Alumni Takeover
Tune in all day Sunday to hear some of our best alumni return to Madison airwaves! We've had some incredible DJs come through our station in the last 15 years and we can't wait to have them back. Tune in for tales of WSUM past and, as always, great music. Check out our full schedule here.
Online Auction
Our online auction will launch at 5pm on the 17th as we kick off Battle of the Bands. We've collected great prizes from some of the best Madison businesses, including classes to Wheelhouse Studios, an annual membership to Hoofers, gift cards to great restaurants such as Cat Cafe Madison and Bassett Street Brunch Club, tickets to see live improv, stand up comedy, and even the Madison Symphony Orchestra! You can also win WSUM merch, guest co-host seats on 91.7FM, and more from your favorite college station (:
