This Friday STRFKR will be bringing their high-energy live show to the Majestic Theatre, which is exciting not only because you can hear the ubiquitous Rawnald Gregory Erickson The Second live, but because the band just released a new album of sorts entitled Vault Vol. 1. STRFKR's bandcamp page describes the album, the first of a planned trilogy, as a collection of “rare, previously unreleased recordings that up until now have never been heard by anyone except STRFKR.” The excitement of new music from a great band (like STRFKR!) is hard to match, and their dancey, electropop sound is sure to be a hit.
Starting the night off is fellow electronic act Psychic Twin. This Brooklyn-based duo's sound is much more ethereal and dreamy than the upbeat, retro-sounding, space-dance-party that STRFKR brings to the table, but the combination of both artists' looks to provide a night full of dancing that will see you leaving the Majestic sweaty, exhilarated, and hopefully with a few new favorite tunes.
