Los Angeles' own Local Natives will be dropping in to the Majestic Theatre on Wednesday April 5th, promoting their third album, Sunlit Youth, which was released this past September. WSUM's own Hannah Nowakowski sums up the album the best, commenting how “Sunlit Youth is exactly how it sounds-an album for feeling young and free in the glistening glow of the sunshine.” If Local Natives can bring some of that sunshine to the perpetually cold and dark city of Madison, then this show is not one to miss. Since their 2006 release of Gorilla Minor the band has only gotten more popular, and being together for more than 10 years does wonders for the group plays together more as friends than bandmates.

Local Natives has had a busy last few months touring and promoting this recently released album, and if they weren't doing enough, they just dropped their new song “I Saw You Close Your Eyes.” The band definitely won't lack material to play at this concert, especially if they pull from some of their first album classics like “Airplanes” and “Wide Eyes” or their sophomore album hit “Heavy Feet.” These guys are seasoned professionals at the concert game and if you can't catch them this time around in Wisconsin, never fear! They're gonna be hitting up all types of music festivals like Coachella, Hangout and Governors Ball across the country.
