This Friday February 23, WSUM will be co-hosting Porches at the High Noon Saloon. Porches is the synth-pop centric project of Aaron Maine, who has garnered attention from critics on Pitchfork, NME, and NPR. About a month ago, Porches came out with a new album called “The House,” featuring the songs “Country” and “Find Me.” This comes as a highly anticipated follow-up to his last album “Pool.”

In his new album, Maine digs into looping synth patterns and croons over rich piano, always complimenting the music with emotional ballads about love, confusion, the self, and the intersection of the three. This album features great collaborators like Blood Orange’s Devonté Hynes, (Sandy) Alex G’s Alex Giannascoli, and was even mastered by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, Grizzly Bear, Beach House). We are so excited to be hosting this show and welcoming Porches back to Madison. We can’t wait to get lost in the smooth, atmospheric sounds that he will surely bring to the High Noon Saloon.
