White Denim
The hometown hero rockers known as White Denim hail from 30 miles down the road in Austin, TX. These guys play a Texan's take on psychedelic blues rock. They've been around since 2006, and have released 5 albums since then. In June this year, the band released two singles entitled “Magazin” and “It Might Get Dark”. Playing in their backyard, this is not one to miss.

Joywave
Joywave is an indie pop/alternative rock band out of Rochester, NY. The band has opened for acts such as The Killers, Brandon Flowers, Bleachers, The Kooks, and many more. They've only been together since 2012 but have managed to release 5 albums in that time. The band released the new single “Blastoffff” on July 12th, merely a week before the fest and are likely aching to share it with a live audience.

A Giant Dog
This punk rock band is also playing for a hometown crowd, as they're based out of Austin, TX. Self described as “raucous ear candy”, their music is upbeat and aggressive. The band has opened for acts as large as Jack White. Lead singer Sabrina Ellis owns the stage during live performances, and will certainly bring that same energy to Float Fest.

Tame Impala
As the top headliner of the festival, the psychedelic rock genius Kevin Parker will close the festival on Sunday. With such a sparse touring schedule this summer, Tame Impala is certainly one of the most sought after concerts in the country right now, drawing many to the fest from faraway lands. Luckily, the band has perfected not only their audio art, but their visuals as well, so fans can expect to get an exceptional light show.
