Tony Evers:
Tony Evers serves as the Superintendent of Public instruction, first elected in 2009. He served as deputy state superintendent before then. He hails from Plymouth, Wisconsin, and received his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in educational administration from UW-Madison. He first worked as a teacher in Baraboo.

Matt Flynn is the former head of the state Democratic Party, where he served for two terms. He attended law school at UW-Madison and has a law career in Milwaukee. Flynn has run four times previously for congress, in 1978, 1986, 1988 and 2004.

Mike McCabe is a political activist and founder of the organization Blue Jean Nation. In 1995, he helped found the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, a nonpartisan watchdog group which he led for 15 years.
