The Florists were formed by three University of Minnesota students in the summer of 2015. Since their inception, they've played in Madison a handful of times, and WSUM is psyched to welcome them to the Memorial Union Terrace for this year's Snake On The Lake fest! The band has a handful of releases under their collective belts, most recently 2017's No Costume EP (although the band will be releasing a new record soon!!).

Over the last few years, they've grown to be staples of the Minneapolis underground rock scene, playing both basements and venues such as 7th St Entry.

Featuring the Terrific Trio™ of Jo Kellen, Jared Hemming, and Luke Michaels, the group combines danceable punk songs with interesting and personal lyrics. Not only are they great people, they have an incredibly entertaining and energetic live show that shouldn't be missed. They will be touring throughout September, before returning to Minneapolis to open for the incredible Guerilla Toss on the 25th.

The Florists will be on after DJ Boyfrrriend and before Wei Zhongle, Friday, September 7th at the Memorial Union Terrace.
Check out the music video for their track ‘Pleasure Shrug', from their 2016 EP, Can You Feel The Stasis? here.
