Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
The Badgers are three-point favorites,
What should you do?
Looking ahead to 2020 can be uncertain, but there is one thing to be sure of, this Rose Bowl will be electric. Vegas thinks so, and so should you. The Wisconsin Badgers are three-point favorites over the Oregon Ducks with an over/under set at 49.5. Shocking to see these Badgers as favorites as they are ranked number 8, and the Ducks are 6!
With these rankings, it is essential to note that the Badgers are 8-5 against the spread. The Ducks are 7-6 against the spread. This is setting up to be an absolute nail bitter of a game!
Let's look at points. For the 2019 season, the Badgers scored an average of 34.6 points per game while only allowing 16.1 average points allowed. The Ducks show better numbers with 35.9 average points per game and an average of 15.7 points allowed.
Looking at numbers alone, Oregon seems to be in better shape than Wisconsin, despite being underdogs.
Down the stretch, both Quarterbacks have been performing very well. Jack Coan has the advantage in the last two games passing for 280 against Minnesota and 232 against Ohio State. In his past two games, Justin Herbert passed for 174 against Oregon State and 193 against Utah. Both quarterbacks could be looking to showcase their arms and lead to points.
You cannot sleep on the running game as CJ Verdell has 1,171 yards for the 2019 season, and the dominant Jonathan Taylor ended the 2019 season with 1,909 yards.
The three-point line further builds the anticipation of a close game. Start the new year off on the right foot and stay sharp.
