On March 11, the Sylvee had a night to remember. The evening had an energetic start with opener Tank and the Bangas. The lead singer danced, sang and laughed with the audience. Each member of the band played at least two instruments and looked like they were having a blast. It felt like a big dance party that the band and the audience were a part of. I would say they started the show with a … Bang(a).
Once The Revivalists came out, the crowd got loud and welcomed the group on stage. It was like everyone took a collective sigh of relief to what would be the highlight of their Wednesday. I have never been to a concert where I felt like the youngest in the crowd, but this was certainly the one! I was highly impressed by their energy and unique sound. I had listened to their music before going to the concert, but they were completely different live!
Part way into the night the lead singer of the band says, “rock music cures Corona so now you all have immunity.” I think the band really left it all out on the stage that night, really doing their best to keep spirits high, and what more can an audience member ask for? What a night!
