MADISON (WSUM) — UW-Madison students who returned to campus from Spring Break traveling has tested positive for COVID-19.
University Health Servies (UHS) sent out a campus-wide email on Friday notifying students and staff.
The email did not address the number of students who tested positive for the virus.
“If you traveled for Spring Break, whether or not you have symptoms, it is imperative that you observe a 14-day self-quarantine following these instructions,” Dr. G. Patrick Kelly, UHS Interim Director of Medical Services and Primary Care Physician said.
The email also stated that you shouldn't travel to work or different locations, but that you should remain inside at home.
Some of the COVID-19 symptoms include cough, fever, fatigue, and shortness of breath according to the CDC.
If you are experiencing symptoms or if these symptoms become worse, contact your primary care provider or call UHS at 608-265-5600.
