WSUM News will broadcast daily news updates at 8 and 9 AM in addition to our usual 5 and 6 PM content throughout the coronavirus crisis.

In order to serve our community at a time where up-to-date, accurate information is not just essential but potentially lifesaving, WSUM News is expanding its programming schedule to offer morning and evening news updates. Additionally, the “News” section of the WSUM website will shift to feature these frequent updates rather than our more-intensive pieces.

While the UW-Madison has closed down the WSUM studio, the WSUM Executive Staff has figured out a way to produce and broadcast our newscasts remotely and while adhering to social distancing guidelines. We are confident that we can bring our listeners quality news broadcasts despite these challenges, but we ask for your patience as we all figure this crazy thing out together.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to send an email to [email protected]. We'll get back to you as soon as possible.

As always, thank you for tuning into WSUM. It's the support of our listeners that gets us through times like these. We wish you good health, smooth tunes and truthful news.
