Prosecutors implicate the daughter and her boyfriend of the couple killed in the UW-Arboretum in their murder.

According to Channel3000, a criminal complaint filed in the case alleges that the couple planned to rob Dr. Beth Potter and Robin Carre, but the attempt of the boyfriend and a third person to do so went wrong and ended with the pair slaying Potter and Carre.

Prosecutors charged the boyfriend and this third person, who are both 18-year-old Madison residents, with first-degree intentional homicide but have not pressed charges against Potter and Carre's daughter.

According to the Univerisity of Wisconsin Police Department, the UWPD has taken the boyfriend into custody.
