Wisconsin went to the polls yesterday for the Spring Election, but we won't know the results until April 13.
As the Wisconsin Election Commission explained in a blog post, the delay results from legal complications in the state's battle over absentee voting.
After a Wisconsin Judge issued an order permitting an extension of absentee voting and demanding that the results not be released until April 13 to allow for the extension, the US Supreme Court on appeal struck the provision of the Judge's order extending absentee voting but not the provision on delaying the results. As a result, while absentee voting rules went unaffected in Tuesday's election, voters will still have to wait out the delay intended to accommodate the judge's changes.
When results do come out, you can find them right here, on WSUM.
