Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers urges voters to launch a united front against President Donald in his speech to the Democratic National Convention.
On Wednesday night, Governor Evers appeared alongside a star-packed schedule of progressive speakers on the third night of the 2020 DNC. In his brief remarks, Evers called upon Democrats and American voters at large to unify against President Trump to restore responsible leadership to the White House.
“This November is about returning kindness, respect, empathy and civility back to the white house, and that's who Joe and Kamala are,” said Evers. “Because they know, especially during challenging times like these, the problems we face can only be solved by all of us together.”
Throughout the convention, this theme of solidarity against Trump regardless of party or politics has been parroted by speakers as far left as democratic socialist Senator Bernie Sanders and former Republican Governor of Ohio John Kasich.
Wisconsin Republican Party Executive Director Mark Jefferson took the opportunity to criticize both Evers and Biden in a press release, describing them both as weak leaders puppeteered by the far-left.
“Tony Evers has been governor for two years and has little to show for it,” wrote Jefferson. “Wisconsin Republicans are organizing to beat Biden in November, and will throw out Evers once we're done.”
Evers spoke alongside Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Vice Presidential Nominee Kamala Harris and Former President Barak Obama on the third night of the convention.
The 2020 DNC continues into its fourth and final night tonight, starting at 8:00 P.M. central time.
