Wisconsin Representative Mark Pocan (D) and 90 Democrats demand that the USPS Board of Governors remove Postmaster General Louis DeJoy.

In a letter, Pocan and his Democratic colleagues state that DeJoy must be removed immediately from his position, accusing him of causing purposeful damage to the institution. USPS workers have reported that in DeJoy's short time as Postmaster, delivery times have slowed to unacceptable levels, even to where mail is not reaching its destination.

In a press release, Mark Pocan says that dismissing DeJoy would be a protective measure as receiving mail benefits Americans in countless ways.

“The damage is already done for veterans and seniors who haven't received medications, families waiting for late paychecks, small businesses missing packages, and voters fearing they may never receive their ballot. We don't need a temporary suspension of the damage he has done—we need a full reversal. This attack on our democracy is unacceptable and Louis DeJoy must be removed immediately.”

House Democrats voiced their opposition to DeJoy, introducing a bill called the “Delivering for America Act” last Sunday that limits any further cost-cuts that slow the efficiency of the USPS.
