The Wauwatosa police now have a suspect in custody for the shooting inside of Mayfair Mall on Friday.

In a police update streamed by Channel 3000, Wauwatosa police chief Barry Weber said the department was notified of the shooting at 2:49 p.m. Police arrived and attended to those injured while securing the perimeter. Within that time, the gunman had fled from the scene.

Video surveillance and photos assisted investigators with identifying the suspect. A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested Saturday night who is believed to be the shooter. His firearm was recovered by police.

Investigators reported Friday that the gunman shot seven adults and one teenager following a fight between two groups. Four of the individuals shot were unaffiliated bystanders. All eight individuals have non-life threatening injuries.
