Young male shooter kills one and leaves another injured at Grand Chute's Fox River Mall Sunday afternoon.
Sixteen agencies rushed to help secure the scene while Grand Chute police located two shot individuals. A 19-year-old male died from his injuries while the other victim's wounds were non-life threatening.
Those shopping at the time of the shooting were sheltering in place and escorted to safety, the press release said. The Fox River Mall remained closed on Monday.
Grand Chute Police Department identified the suspected gunman as a 17-year-old male who fled the scene in a Blue 2012 Dodge Avenger.
Appleton-based news publication The Post Crescent reports that the shooting was targeted.
Monday morning, local police found the suspect's car in an Oshkosh house's driveway. Four people at the residence were arrested for disorderly conduct because of their combative behavior towards Oshkosh police, although none of which were the suspect.
Local police departments continue their search for the accused minor and believe he is armed and dangerous.
