With our 20th birthday coming up WSUM's presents our annual tradition: Battle of The Bands 2022!! Watch some of your favorite local bands duel for the championship.

Get started on your submission now! Entries open on Feb. 2.

Here's what you have to do:

• Record a video of your band performing a song.
• Upload the video to YouTube and name it “WSUM Battle of the Bands 2022: (Band Name)”
• Email the YouTube link to [email protected] with the subject “WSUM Battle of the Bands 2022: (Band Name)”
• Only submissions that follow this format will be accepted for the contest.
• All submissions are due February 13th at 11:59PM CST.

Once submissions are closed, the public will be able to vote on their favorite band through the WSUM website. Voting ends February 21st at 11:59PM CST.

The top 3 finalists will perform a live set at the WSUM for our Snake Sessions on the afternoon of Friday, February 25th.

Keep this in mind:

• Bands will be immediately disqualified if they attempt to rig the voting system, and their members will be banned from participating in all future WSUM Battle of the Bands.
• Any submissions due after the deadline closes will not be considered for the competition.

2/10 UPDATE:

We will now be accepting submissions of mp3 files for the competition. To be considered email the file to [email protected] with “WSUM Battle of the Bands 2022: (Band Name)” as the subject.
