Indigo De Souza is headlining a sold out show at the Majestic Theater on Wednesday, May 17, in support of her third album All of This Will End. Joining her are close friends and fellow Ashville band, Sluice. This will be De Souza’s first time headlining the venue following her shows at Breese Stevens and the Terrace Stage last summer.
Known for her extremely vulnerable and direct lyrics and a sound that falls somewhere between grunge and pop, All of This Will End is a natural continuation of her previous two albums. She continues to explore heartbreak, loneliness and mental illness, but she approaches the subject matter with a fresh air of acceptance. What used to be heavy and uncomfortable for De Souza is now inspiration and room for growth.
She takes an optimistic approach to the impermanence of life, making merch that reads, “Let the promise of death encourage a life lived in truth.” All of This Will End is an honest album that does not shy away from harsh realities, but where it would be easy to get bogged down, De Souza makes room to dance.
