The Philadelphia-born, Nashville based singer-songwriter and guitarist fuses elements of older soul and R&B, with modern pop samples and even dramatic guitar licks and raw drum backbeats. Gilfillian's wide vocal range also plays into creating a diverse texture of musical styles from track to track across his albums, allowing you to vibe on throughout their entirety without noticing the time that's flying by right past you.

Gilfillian notes a wide range of influences such as Otis Redding, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Al Green and Jay-Z, making it easy to tell where he gets his inspiration for his genre-bending music style. A style which is beautifully on full display in his most recent album Love You Anyway.
