PREVIEW: Summerfest Weekend Two

Photo: Allison Lukas

After a very successful first weekend, here are even more artists to check out as Summerfest Weekend Two begins!

June 26th

Claire Rosinkranz

Indie pop singer-songwriter Claire Rosinkranz will be performing at the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard stage this Thursday at 10:00 PM. While Rosinkranz hasn’t put out any longer projects in a few years, she’s sure to be playing her recently released single, “Lucy”, that came out in March. This will be her first time performing at Summerfest, however the California-based singer is very familiar with the Wisconsin area. She made a stop at the Majestic Theatre in Madison during her 2023 “Just Because Tour”, and you’ll want to be sure to catch her again as she comes to Milwaukee this June 26th.

June 27th

Wishy

This may be my personal favorite lineup this weekend, and the band I’m most looking forward to is Wishy. The five piece indie-rock band is coming in from Indianapolis to play a 7:30 PM set at the BMO Pavilion. The band formed in 2021 and released their first EP in 2023. Since then, they have put out a full length album, Triple Seven, and two more EPs. The most recent release being Planet Popstar, which came out in March of 2025. This is Wishy’s first time at Summerfest and fans won’t want to miss their performance this Friday, June 27th.

Social Cig

Milwaukee’s own, Social Cig, will be playing at Summerfest this friday, June 27th. Social Cig is Parker Schultz’s personal project that he started during his time at UW-Milwaukee. Since then, Social Cig has put out three albums and has some more recent singles as well. Songs “Lasso” and “Midwest Cowboy” are from March and May of this year, and are going to fit perfectly into his 4:30 PM set at the BMO Pavilion. If the name sounds familiar, outside of the shows in the Madison area Social Cig has played, Schultz was also featured on WSUM’s Snake Sessions last winter, which you can check out here for an idea of what his Summerfest set might sound like!

June 28th

Megan Thee Stallion and Flo Milli

While this performance is taking place at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, if you are able to snag tickets to see Megan Thee Stallion’s 7:30 PM show, I highly recommend it. I had the chance to see Megan Thee Stallion headline Lollapalooza last summer, and between her playing some of my favorites, like “Cognac Queen”, and Angel Reese making a surprise appearance, the performance was the perfect way to end my night.

Joining her as an opener, rapper Flo Milli and her bubbly lyrical delivery will guarantee this show is high energy the whole time. Megan’s set will hopefully feature some of her classics like “Savage” and “Hot Girl Summer”, but some newer releases are sure to be played as well. Fans can also look out for the possibility of Megan bringing Flo Milli back out to perform their 2024 single “Roc Steady”. You won’t want to miss their headlining show this Saturday, June 28th.
