Mission:

An independent organization created to support the UW-Madison student-run radio station (WSUM), Friends of the Madison Student Radio will act to:

  • Serve in good faith for the needs and interests of WSUM contributors
  • Serve WSUM as a fiscal agent for funds raised on its behalf
  • Provide funding and mentoring to help student staff improve quality of progamming and service
  • Sponsor projects that involve public participation throughout the WSUM broadcast area as well as public awareness activities that promote WSUM so as to attract additional financial support
  • Support WSUM executive management and governance board in meeting their strategic goals.
