Charli XCX and Troye Sivan announced their upcoming tour, Sweat Tour 2024! They will be touring North America in September and October with special guest Shygirl. Some Twitter users said that the tour was being promoted on Grindr.
Brit Smith releases her own version of “Karma”
After JoJo Siwa released her new single “KARMA” and claimed she did not know who Brit Smith is, Brit Smith quietly released her original version of “Karma's a B-tch” on streaming services. Smith is a singer, actor and model; her previous last single was released in 2013. After Siwa's music video was released, fans quickly found the unreleased official music video of Smith from 2012.
James Charles shows new single artwork
Makeup guru YouTuber and TikToker James Charles released the artwork for his upcoming single “Can We Just Be Friends.” The single will be out April 26th. In a TikTok where Charles surprised fans learning a dance to his song, Charles said that he wrote the song about a lot of trauma he experienced and about trying to find love as a queer person.
Logan Paul is having a baby
Logan Paul, YouTuber and wrestler, and Nina Agdal, model, announced that Agdal is 16 weeks pregnant. On his podcast, Paul talked about how excited he is to be a dad. The couple met in 2022 at an event in NYC, but it is unclear when they first started dating.
Drake releases a Kendrick Lamar diss track
Drake released a new single, “Push Ups” as a diss track to Kendrick Lamar. Lamar had released a single “Like That,” which allegedly had a verse that was responding to J. Cole and Drake's song “First Person Shooter.” In the song, Cole compared himself to Drake and Lamar, calling them the “big three.”
After Lamar released “Like That,” Cole released “7 Minute Drill,” where he called Lamar's past album boring. Cole later apologized for the lyrics. On April 19, Drake released his alleged diss track to Lamar.
New Taylor Swift album is released
Taylor Swift's 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” was released on April 19. Fans have speculated that the album is about her breakup with Joe Alwyn and her short fling with Matty Healy from The 1975. Did you forget that they had a fling, too?
The album received a perfect score of 100 from Rolling Stone, who labeled it as an “instant classic.” However, fans are debating whether or not the album really deserved it. Some fans have criticized the lyrics, saying that Swift is afraid of not being number one and that all the songs sound the same. Other fans are defending the album, comparing it to Ariana Grande and Beyonce's latest albums by chart numbers.
Lil Tay tweets JoJo Siwa after JoJo Siwa likes and unlikes a tweet shading Lil Tay
JoJo Siwa allegedly liked and then unliked a Tweet that dissed internet personality Lil Tay, saying there is no comparison between the two and that Lil Tay is just a meme. In response, Lil Tay tagged Siwa and told her to not delete any comments or unlike Tweets. She also said that Siwa pays for YouTube views and Spotify streams.
